THIRUMANDHAMKUNNU TEMPLE

Historically significant Thirumandhamkunnu temple is a famous pilgrim centre with thousands of devotees thronging together every day from various parts of south India. The temple with its significant sacredness, with the main deity of the Goddess Thirumandhamkunnilamma, has become one of the well known temples in the state with a spiritually purified ambience. Thirumandhamkunnu temple and the place around have a prominent history to narrate which will definitely enlighten the visitors. Popular offering in this temple is to remove obstacles related to marriage (Mangalya pooja).The eleven days long annual festival (Pooram) is one of its kind which is celebrated in March-April months.

POONTHANAM ILLAM

Poonthanam Illam is the abode of legendary Poonthanam Namboothiri, who was a dedicated devotee and a promoter of Krishna cult of the Bhakthi movement. His renowned masterpiece Njanappana (Saga of knowledge) made him popular among other spiritual poets. Poonthanam Illam situated 10 kms away from Perinthalmanna, is a major point of attraction, which even now bears the memories of this great poet. A piously elegant Sreekrishna temple is situated near to this Illam where Poonthanam used to pray. Main festivals celebrated here include Navarathri and Poonthanam day. Literary colloquiums and unique enriching programmes are conducted in the Poonthanam Illam on special days which attracts several people in and around Kerala.

KODIKUTHIMALA

A small journey of just ten kilometers from Angadippuram takes us to the picturesque Kodikuthimala which have a lot of climatic and geographical resemblance with Ooty and is located at a height of more than 1700 feet above the sea level. This Highly fabulous and truly fascinating picnic spot has eye-catching waterfalls and beautiful springs in it. A watch tower is constructed at the top most echelon which fetch us picturesque view of faraway places. ADYANPARA WATERFALLS

Adyanpara is a picturesque fall with a destination reachable by a fun filled, off the main road ride. This is a stunning waterfall, which looks dazzling particularly all through the rainy season.
